This is apology adjacent, but the lack of major artist releases this Friday has led to a lesser-known, more underground type FF. We'll just call it an "off-road" Fresh Friday. Find something new to enjoy below, maybe?
Demi Lovato - HOLY FVCK :
It's always great to see redemption stories (although in my opinion, it's not a redemption arc for cleaning yourself up -- most everyone deserves second chances) and Demi's has been great. And this album is GREAT.
Offset - "54321":
As if the Migos breakup situation couldn't get any more confusing, here's Offset venturing back into the solo career field. Is this a good song? I think it's okay.
BLACKPINK - "Pink Venom":
I'm told these people are popular, yet I can't name another song by them? The wonders of K-Pop abound.
Armani Caesar - "Hunnit Dolla Hiccup (feat. Benny the Butcher & Stove God Cooks)":
Y'all know I'm a big fan of Griselda Records, and I never shut up about it. Lots of people are missing out from Armani Caesar, who has a great delivery and could easily bring Griselda into the mainstream.
Skullcrusher - "They Quiet the Room"/"Quiet the Room":
I'm avoiding listening to these so I don't spoil the album, but two singles and two videos? Woah!
serpentwithfeet - "I'm Pressed":
Smooth. Sultry. Just how we like serpentwithfeet. While you're here, go check out his two incredible albums.
Iceage - "Shake the Feeling":
I love these guys. Damn they rock. And this is from an upcoming album of unreleased demos and rarities? Holy cow.
Larry June - Spaceships on the Blade:
Just about as underground as it gets. Love the flow, the beat selection, and the bonus Alchemist verse.
Nick Hakim - "Happen":
This guy put out an album a couple years ago that I don't give the love it deserves. This song looks promising, gimme the next album, sir.
Jean Dawson - "3 HEADS*":
Earlier this year, Jean blessed us with "PORN ACTING*", which is a pretty tough single to follow. Project soon? please?
