Happy Beyoncé Day, everyone! Here's a Fresh Friday that's been years in the making. Catch up on some very important new music, below:
Beyoncé - RENAISSANCE:
IT'S HERE! And it's incredible. No word yet as what "act i" means, and if the following acts will be music-oriented, or visually-oriented. You can count on us to report that update when it arrives. Enjoy this teaser above of some visual for the album, surely.
Mrs. Knowles-Carter - RENAISSANCE:
Did you know Jay-Z's wife makes music? I wonder if she'll ever be popular, or if she even has a good voice...
Queen Bey - RENAISSANCE:
Here's a relatively unknown act, but lots of buzz surrounding this release... hmm, guess we'll give it a shot. This is my favorite from the album!
Rosalía - "DESPECHA":
Well, that joke got old quick. Anyway, here's a fantastic new song, hopefully indicating a deluxe edition of Rosalía's amazing album from earlier this year, MOTOMAMI.
Maggie Rogers - Surrender:
I felt like this album rollout was never-ending, but man was it worth the wait. Maggie has an awesome career ahead of her.
DOMi & JD BECK - NOT TIGHT:
I hadn't heard this group until two or three weeks ago, but holy cow. Anderson .Paak knows how to pick his label signees.
Tove Lo - "2 Die 4":
The Swedish musician has ramped up the release of her upcoming album with her latest single, which samples "Pop Corn". Also, the visuals have been nuts for this album, and I think this video indicates a whole visual project to accompany its release!
Two Thirds of Migos? - "Us vs. Them (ft. Gucci Mane)":
This is a very confusing situation, and I think the only reason it didn't make the roundup this week was because it happened literally last night and Brandon had a busy week. A couple weeks ago, Quavo and Takeoff (who are nephew and uncle, respectively) unfollowed Offset on social media. Then, they released a single under the name "Unc and Phew". Now, it's confirmed that the Three Amigos are three no longer. I miss Offset.
King Princess - Hold On Baby:
It's sad we got half of the album before it was released, but there's not too much to complain about.
Plains - "Problem With It":
If you're familiar with Waxahatchee, the lead singer, along with Jess Williamson, have created a new group and man does it sound promising. Give it a listen (and watch)!
And debuting for the first time...
DJ Dane - "Party in the USA Remix (ft. Lil Jon)":
As promised last week, here is a remix that I spent way too much time working on. SoundCloud also has automatic copyright removal, so enjoy our ratchet Google Drive link! Watch and share it QUICKLY so that I don't get arrested for copyright issues (it'll be personally taken down by tomorrow just in case).
SPEED ROUND (for a second week in a row): Two deluxe reissues via Maxo Kream and Buddy; Marcus Mumford releases his second single for his self-titled debut; Charli XCX released a banger; and Labrinth is taking a hiatus from Euphoria music for his solo stuff.
